Born in the Netherlands, a resident of Australia and Hawaii Lelama brings to you many years of exploration and experience in personal development and motivation, the healing arts and inspirational music and dance.
As a young woman, Lelama developed and honed her teaching and intuitive skills for 13 years as a horse trainer and equestrian teacher. Gifted with sensitivity and natural teaching skills, she became trainer to the trainers.
1983-1987: Expanding into human development, Lelama studied speech pathology at the Academy of Speech Pathology, Utrecht, and psychology at the University of Amsterdam. During this period she worked for three years for CeRTS Amsterdam, providing corporate training in presentation, self-confidence and communication skills, to Advertising and Publicity companies.
1987-1989: Guided by her innate compassion, Lelama, with 7 other women, helped co-create and establish an independent “safe house” for runaway teenage girls in Amsterdam. Providing guidance and self-empowerment to otherwise destitute young women for a period of 2 & ½ years.
In 1992 Lelama studied Traditional Chinese Medicine, naturopathy, homeopathy, herbal medicine, nutrition, massage and reflexology at The School of Natural Medicine, Amsterdam. At this time she also participated in Shamanic journeys held by Maria Moon Lion.
In 1993 she immigrated to Australia, and continued her studies in natural therapies at The Academy for Natural Therapies in Burleigh Heads, Qld.
In 1995 thru’ a near death experience where breathing and heart beat stopped for a period of minutes, Lelama was graced with the mergence with YAMALA, the love and consciousness of the Universal Mother of Creation, opening and integrating a multidimensional doorway in her life.
Support and inner guidance from her soul & spirit, Yamala, mother Earth and the kingdoms of nature, angels, ancestors and enlightened masters brought Lelama to embody the power of creation that lives deep within.
Since then, Lelama experiences joy, freedom and synchronicity in her daily life, being present to miracles and revelations as divinity is unleashed…
Lelama is deeply grateful for the power of creation and the blessings of music, song and dance. Since childhood Lelama has studied and performed folk-, jazz-, contemporary and spirit dance, African dance and drumming, and classical, improvisational and devotional music and song.
Together with Sound Sisters and Brothers in Soul Family in Australia, Hawaii and Europe she has co-created concerts, unique sound and movement experiences in Universal Light Language and sacred trans-missional theatre for the activation and energization of all beings present, since 1995.
Since 2000 Lelama JYumaali Sjamar has trained and expanded her devotion to her mission under the guidance of her loving and inspiring friend, soul sistar and teacher Qala Sri’ama, founder of the Gaia Sacred Mystery School and Divine University in Australia, GAIA Pty Ltd. (www.g-a-i-a.com).
In 2001 she was accredited as Ascension Healer and Teacher.
Since 2001 Lelama has created Sounds of the Spheres with Michael Hammer, composer of celestial music for meditation and healing, offering concerts in Europe and the United States… This union has birthed the CD’s: Galactic Gateway & Yamala ~ Essence of Creation.
In 2005/2006 Lelama offered her service as mumara (loving facilitator), as channel and seer in a one-year training for a pod of beautiful students in the GAIA Sacred Mystery School. In that year she has developed Yamala Yoga, a new form of yoga that allows for the free flow of universal love and consciousness thru’ your body, mind, soul, and spirit.
